Geek Musings
Phew! That time flew by…
Wow. So here we are in March of 2017 already and I’m horribly behind in keeping up with the Geek Blog. My apologies to the regular readers who have been waiting for updates. It has been a busy couple of months as I slogged through tax season (done ahead of schedule and glad to be through with that!) and have been getting ready for the upcoming GeekCraft Expo Midwest (March 25th & 26th at the Madison Masonic Center–read more about that here.)
In the meantime, between all of the fun and chaos, we’ve added a bunch of fantastic new merchandise to the store and are pretty excited about some of the new things just being updated in our inventory. One of which is a really fun looking game called Mangaka (in Japanese, it means a person who created manga) in which you and friends work with Theme and Trend cards to draw quick comics in 5-minute rounds. Replay value on this one is immensely high as every manga you draw is likely to be vastly different from previous ones. Sounds like a great way to come up with some unique story lines for a manga or role playing game!
Another really cool addition to the Foundry is the new line of Funko Pop! Stranger Things vinyl collectible figures. I was so excited to see that they were in the works so I ordered a couple of each. Now all I need to do is pair them up with the perfect Stranger Things fans who want to give a good home to Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Will, Joyce, Barb, and of course, the Demogorgon. Sadly Eleven is on back order or being held up because she didn’t ship with the other figures despite being available for order. I promise as soon as she arrives I’ll post an update on Facebook and Twitter with photos.
Well, that’s it for now. I know, short story. You’d think I’ve have boatloads to write about but I wanted to pop off a quick update and let folks know I’m still here, still alive, and working my fingers to the bone. I promise to try to get back on track with the Geek Blog and create content more frequently. In the meantime, go shopping! Fast, reliable delivery of some truly excellent games and goodies is only a couple of clicks away here on Geek Foundry!
