Poo: The Card Game
This week we’re taking a look at a fast, fun card game that you can play with family and friends in as little as 20 to 30 minutes. It’s called Poo: The Card Game. Now before you get grossed out by the title, let me just say monkeys, mayhem, and poo. Did that help? Even if your sense of humor isn’t finely tuned to such silly things as monkeys flinging poo, you’ll find this game to be an absolute stitch.
You and your opponents play the role of a monkey out of their cage at the zoo when the zoo keeper’s gone. Your sole aim is to knock out your opponents by hurling “poo” at them (so aim carefully!). The first monkey to accumulate 15 poo points is out of the game and play continues till there is only one monkey standing. Or…hanging from a branch.
To hurl poo at your opponents you use attack cards like “Mighty Joe Young Poo,” or “King Kong Poo,” each worth a set number of poo points. To make things worse, there are cards that exacerbate the flung dung like “Montezuma’s Revenge” or “Grandpa Poo” (eww, nasty!). But despair not! There are also cards that help you clean up your act like “Found A Towel” or “Garden Hose” that remove poo points from your stack.
We first played this game at Gen Con a few years back and loved it so much we wound up buying several copies for friends. It’s a great pick up game or beer ‘n pretzels kind of game. I’ve been asked if the novelty ever wears off because of the subject matter but honestly, I don’t think it does. Despite the set of cards in the deck, you never know how a game is going to turn out and there are always hearty laughs involved when someone gets hit with King Kong Grandpa Poo and doesn’t have a Towel.
If you’re looking for something just a little on the silly side to play in a short amount of time, this is totally the game for you–plus monkeys!
Pick up a copy of Poo today and be sure to grab a bag of our Poo Pellets to keep track of your poo points. They’re the chocolate icing on the cake for a completely off the hook game. OK, maybe that wasn’t such a great analogy. Check it out!
